adult: The Aeria Gloris are an unusual-looking breed. With six glowing eyes, a ring of crystals that orbits around the dragon’s neck, and seven sets of short wings lining their body, these dragons are thought to be related to something primordial, perhaps even alien. Regardless, Aeria Gloris Dragons are graceful and gifted with potent magic that allows them to manipulate space almost instinctively. They have been known to use highly complex teleportation magic on the fly, and while these dragons are not very mobile on the ground, they often take off by using their magic to create a field which temporarily reverses gravity’s hold. Aeria Gloris are usually neither malicious nor benevolent, preferring to mind their own business and wandering as if in search of something.

During mating season, rival males often attempt to impress females by hanging onto a rock beside the female and letting another Aether Wyvern blast gale-force winds at them. The one to stay on the rock the longest wins, and if the female wins, she will reject both males. These wyverns also use their ability to control winds to blow away intruding dragons or to capture prey, though an Aether Wyvern’s aim is not perfect. As a solution to their imperfect aim, these wyverns will create large winds that often blow away much more than they originally intended to.

adult: Alcedine Wyverns are large, colorful dragons found all over Galsreim. They are highly active and become bored and fidgety with nothing to do, so much of their time is spent travelling. Alcedines are quite speedy on the wing and rarely bother to land until they reach their destination. Because of their speed and navigation skill, Alcedines are sometimes sought by humans looking to have items or letters delivered to faraway locales. Many Alcedines will take them up on it for the right price, and it is not uncommon for Alcedines to have a small hoard of jewellery in their dens or rings on their horns.

adult: Almerald Dragons are an unusual species. They have gem-like protrusions along their spine that brighten and darken depending on their mood. In addition, their body temperature grows warmer during periods of excitement, and cooler during darker moods such as anger or depression; as such, it is fairly easy to read an Almerald’s emotions. Their mood can change quickly at times, going from calm to angry in a matter of seconds. If their anger becomes bad enough they can become a frightening opponent. Adults are not normally high in energy, so they hunt infrequently and prefer to lazily consume large quantities of fruits and nuts.

The flames cloaking an Astaarus are significant: the heat warms their bearer in the frigid conditions of the mountains, and females use their more fervent flames to keep their young warm. The combustion of an Astaarus hatchling is a momentous occasion, celebrated as their entry into adulthood. During mating season, it is not uncommon to see male Astaari sweeping like stars across the sky in playful chase of their prospective mates.

They use their gas bladders to float to the tops of trees, where food is more abundant. They can shift their weight from their backs to their fronts, allowing them to reach leaves and fruit.
